Estate Distribution

Information
The diagram is an example of the distribution.
Shares are divided by the number of Branches relating to entitled beneficiaries no matter what side of the family they are on (Maternal and Paternal). Therefore if there are 3 branches to the family on the Maternal (female) side and 2 branches of the family on the Paternal (male) side the estate is divided by 5.
At the time of publication the Intestacy rules make no provision for co-habiting partners (common law spouse/single gender couples) or stepchildren, although this can be altered provided all of the beneficiaries agree on any action proposed.
